Amalgamation

“Amalgamation” was created in 2020 as a personal work. The original measures 11” x 14” and was painted with watercolor, gouache, and oil glazes on Arches 140lb hot press watercolor paper. The painting was mounted to a Birch wood panel which measures 1” deep.

We tend to live and think of ourselves as separate from the world around us, which has caused unfortunate destruction of the natural world. If we start living as one entity and working together we might finally restore the beauty of the world around us.

This piece represents the process of regrowth and becoming conscience of our impact.
