Ancient Echoes

My aim for this image was to treat the natural world as a living fairytale. In Ancient Echoes, I wanted to bridge the gap between prehistoric paleontology and woodland folklore—inviting the viewer to step into a secret, mossy sanctuary where primordial creatures and forest spirits share the same quiet air.  This painting captures a dreamlike moment beneath a quiet forest canopy. An ancient trilobite rests amidst layered shelf fungi and wild mushrooms, gently watched over by fluttering moths. Intricate details and transparent watercolor layers transform a patch of woodland floor into a timeless, fairy-tale sanctuary, celebrating the quiet magic hidden within nature's oldest secrets.

This original measures 8”x10” and was created in watercolor and mounted to a birch wood panel.
